From feminine florals to seductive sheer, vibrant colors and black and white prints, here are the emerging styles to expect in stores next year.
Welcome to the garden party! Floral emerges from prints and appliques, giving a feminine touch to Resort collections. Oscar De La Renta was in full bloom with tulip-embroidered lace dresses and floral embroidery over plaid gowns. Tory Burch and Moshino Cheap & Chic take on a vintage vibe with mid-century graphic designs of poppies and daisies.
Sheer is here to stay as designers take a new approach to the on-going trend. Oscar De La Renta creates a chic silk sheer dress with gorgeous beading detail, while Christian Dior leaves little to the imagination with a grudge-style overlay that is completely see through.
It can't be Resort season without a little color. Say goodbye to sublte shades and hello to bright hues. Akris features wool pant suits in a vivid palette of fuchsia and azure blue, while Moshino Cheap & Chic and Dior infuse bursts of intense orange into their collections.
On the oppostie side of the spectrum, black and white prints also made a bold statement this season. Chanel reworks it's signature black and white palette with patterns inspired by the Southeast Asian style and French high fashion. Fendi and Thakoon Addition opt for an ultra mod aesthetic featuring geometric prints and zigzag motifs.
