Runway Wrap: Cruise/Resort 2014 Beauty
Resort Wear beauty for 2014 is all about making a statement—simply! Models strutted their beautified selves down the runways with minimal makeup highlighting a single facial feature. Cherry lips, subtle smoky eyes, flushed cheeks and tousled bedhead hairstyles were all featured and added to the modern makeup look for next year’s simple Cruise/Resort Wear beauty looks!
Cherry red lips were prevalent all over the runways of the St. John, Versace and Clover Canyon shows. The fire engine red color spiced up each show offering a primped look with old-Hollywood flair.
Models in the Pringle of Scotland, Donna Karen and Thakoon shows were bronzed up in shadowy hues of brown, gold and copper. The summery shading was used to contour the temples, cheek bones, nose and eyes.
Models flounced down the runways for Fendi, Emporio Armani and Marc Jacobs while shimmering in porcelain skin with light powders and matte finishes. Their flawless alabaster skin lit up the stage and added a modern twist to the apparel.
Models flaunted a fresh flush on the apples of their cheeks in shows like Rachel Roy, Noon by Noor and Jason Wu. Shades of rose, pink and wine rosied-up the cheeks and lips creating a romantic and soft makeup look.
Models’ lips were extra slicked and glossed in the Moschino Cheap & Chic, Thakoon Addition and Honor runway shows. The lip glosses that made their mark were sweet-looking with creamy, wet and shimmering finishes.
Just Cavalli, Cushnie et Ochs and Alberta Feretti all featured subtly smoky eyes. The softly winged shaped eye colors were brushed on with grey, black and silver shadows.
Hairstyles at a medium, shoulder-length resting just on or just above the shoulders made their entrance at the Rachel Zoe, Ohne Titel amd Jill Stuart shows. This hairstyle should be worn naturally, boasting loose waves and very little shape to it.
Tousled hairstyles were featured in the Organic by John Patrick, Nicole Miller and Rag & Bone fashion shows. Extra-long hair, heavy bangs and piecey shag dos offer a low-maintenance appeal.
Wet & wild hair rocked the runway drenching the locks of Adam Lippes, Prabal Gurung and Jason Wu models. Slicked down, combed back and styled to death; models’ hair was infused with extra amounts of gel and products for a punky and soaking wet style.
