EBay unveils Fashion Outlet, an online ‘outlet shopping mall’
EBay isn’t just an auction site these days. It is also a fashion mecca – or at least it aspires to be, with the launch of Fashion Outlet, which features eBay stores and more than 200 labels. This online “shopping mall” offers savings of 20 percent to 65 percent versus manufacturers' suggested retail prices, reported WWD.
With selections available from brands, specialty retailers and multibranded retailers, visitors can either browse by brand or browse by store. Some selections are produced exclusively for the site and may not be discounted.
EBay online stores highlighted on the site include Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein, Fila, Last Call by Neiman Marcus, Reed’s Jewelers and Tommy Hilfiger.
Already present in the United Kingdom and Germany, eBay is considering launching outlet sites in other countries. The site currently only ships to U.S. addresses.
